I’m an avid bike rider, and have owned my fair share of road bikes over the years. Below I’ve detailed my current Top 5 list of road bikes. Also, be sure to check out ShopWiki’s bicycle buying guide which highlights the many factors to consider when buying a bike, bike styles and more.

The Top 5 Road Bikes

Giant Sport OCR 2 – built by Giant, ‘The Global Bicycle Company’, it is built with an aluminum frame, coupled with a higher-end carbon-fiber fork, and strikes a terrific balance between performance and reliability.

Schwinn Fastback Sport 24 – Schwinn is always said to be a good choice for novices. This bike has an all-aluminum frame with carbon-fiber blades.

Marin San Rafael – the Marin San Rafael isn’t a road bike in the true sense, since it is more like a hybrid of a mountain bike that has been coupled with a road bike.

Specialized Roubaix Comp – this bike features an all-carbon frame which makes it lighter and more ‘supple’ than aluminum or steel-framed bikes.

Kona King Zing – another carbon-framed beauty.

Note: also check out ShopWiki’s guide to mountain bikes and kids bikes.
