Liam Neeson stars in the CIA thriller “Taken”, which raked in $24.6 million over the weekend and helped fuel the first $1 billion January in Hollywood history.
“Taken” follows Neeson as a former CIA operative who is trying to track down a group of kidnappers who want to sell his daughter into the sex slave trade. If action-packed is what you seek, then “Taken” is the movie for you. But note, this is believable action-packed stuff; there’s no scene that just seemed utterly ridiculous or impossible.
Prior to seeing “Taken”, I had seen Liam Neeson in a few other movies, and found it hard to picture him playing the killing machine that the “Taken” previews said he played. Well, he certainly surprised me and was excellent in this role.
“Taken” is a fast-paced action-packed that’s well worth the movie admission price. A good action movie with a nice story line is what “Taken” is!
